MVC Involving School Bus - Main & Thatcher Streets, Frankford DE

On Tuesday 2/12/2013 at 0729 hours, the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company Station 76, Sussex County EMS and Frankford Police Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a school bus at the intersection of Main & Thatcher Streets in Frankford, DE. Sussex County EMS Operations Division Manager Robbie Murray (EMS18) was the first to arrive on scene and reported a minor collision between a passenger vehicle and a school bus carrying 43 children from the Indian River School District. EMS18 began triage of the patients as Rescue 76, Engine 76-1 and Command 76 with Fire Captain Curtis Stevens arrived on scene to assist with patient assessments. The triage revealed no injuries to any of the vehicle occupants. The children were turned over to officials from the Indian River School District while the scene was turned over to Chief Bill Dudley of the Frankford Police Department for further investigation. All units cleared the scene and were back in service by 0800 hours.
