House Fire - Honolulu Rd

The Frankford Volunteer Fire Company, Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County EMS Medic 105 were alerted at 0016 for a reported house fire in the area of 14 Honolulu Rd. Deputy 76 arrived on scene to find a single-family residence with fire showing on Side B. Engine 76-1 arrived on scene shortly afterwards to find a rapidly progressing fire now visible from Sides A, B and D. Two hand lines were placed in service. Engine 76-3 was the second arriving unit and the crew was used to assist with the hand lines and to supply 76-1. Dagsboro Engine 73-1 arrived and was assigned to ventilation and to pull additional hand lines. Additional manpower was received from both Selbyville (Engine 88-1 / RIT assignment) and Gumboro (Engine 79-4). The incident was placed under control shortly after 0100 and units remained on scene until after 0300 overhauling. An Engine from Millville and Millsboro provided coverage for Frankford and Dagsboro during the incident.
