It is with great pleasure to announce that one of our own was honored as the State Fire Police of the Year. Mr. Ray Wells was recognized at the State Fire Police Meeting held during the Annual Delaware Volunteer Firemans Association Conference. The awards ceremony was held at the Sheraton in Dover on Thursday evening September 15th. Mr. Wells has over fifty years of dedicated service to the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company serving as a Fire Police for the last eight. The volunteer fire service will forever be grateful and indebted to members such as Mr. Wells. Mr. Wells continues to set the example for current and future volunteer fireman. His years of dedicated active service to this and area communities will be matched by few and exceeded by none.
