Brush Fire - Blueberry Lane

On Thursday April 14, 2005 at 15:48 Hrs. the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a woods fire on Blueberry Lane East of Swamp Road. Dispatch advised of a quick spreading fire in the trees along the roadway. First arriving unit Engine 76-2 with Asst. Chief John Wright arrived to find a member of the FVFC on scene preventing the fire from spreading by shoveling dirt onto it. The crew of Engine 76-2 were directed to deploy a booster line into the woods to further prevent the fire from spreading. Upon the arrival of Engine 76-1 with Deputy Chief Tommy Bacon they were directed to pull their trash line and assist Engine 76-2's crew, and that the Deputy Chief would assume the operations of the incident. The scene was placed under control at 15:59 Hrs. with some mop up to be done. After a short overhaul of the woods all units were cleared at 16:10 Hrs.
